THE JOURNEY
Ride from Tatra forest tracks to Popradské pleso, where a mountain lake sits beneath granite peaks, then take the quieter paths below the limestone skyline of Ždiar. Across four guided E-MTB days, pass the medieval landmarks of Spiš, cross the wooded hills of Spišská Magura and follow the Dunajec beneath the cliffs of Pieniny. Warm up in Vrbov’s thermal pools between rides, with one comfortable base in Tatranská Lomnica, a local guide and a support vehicle throughout your cycling days.

Arrive in Tatranská Lomnica, your mountain base for the next five nights, and meet the local guide who will lead the riding days ahead. During the welcome briefing, get to know the programme and have your E-MTB delivered and fitted. The evening is yours to choose dinner at the hotel or a local restaurant.

Start your first ride through the foothills of the High Tatras, past mountain settlements and streams with the rocky skyline above you. Climb to Popradské pleso for a lunch stop beside the lake, then continue to Štrbské Pleso for coffee or a drink overlooking the water. A planned transfer brings you and your bike back to Tatranská Lomnica before the shared welcome dinner.

Leave Tatranská Lomnica by E-MTB and follow forest and gravel paths towards Ždiar, a Goral mountain village beneath the pale limestone walls of the Belianske Tatras. Continue into the rolling landscape of Spišská Magura, where the route opens to views towards the Tatras, Pieniny and Slovak Paradise. Complete the loop back in Tatranská Lomnica after a day shaped by village life, woods and mountain panoramas.

Begin your E-MTB ride at Spišský Jeruzalem near Sivá Brada, crossing rolling grassy hills with sweeping views towards the UNESCO-listed Spiš Castle. Follow scenic countryside trails past Mariánska hora to medieval Levoča, part of the same UNESCO World Heritage site and home to Master Paul’s extraordinary 18.6-metre wooden altar in St James’s Church. After a day of cycling through centuries of history, unwind in the warm outdoor thermal pools of Vrbov before returning to your mountain hotel.

Begin at Vyšné Ružbachy and ride through Spišská Magura mountains, following forest paths and narrow trails with views back towards the Tatras and across the surrounding ranges. Descend into Pieniny, where the Dunajec river winds between limestone cliffs, and visit Červený Kláštor monastery at the end of the route. Return to Tatranská Lomnica for a farewell dinner with your fellow travellers.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before the six-day journey comes to an end. You may choose to extend your time in the High Tatras for further cycling or hiking, or explore another part of Slovakia. On request, we can arrange an onward transfer to an airport, railway station or your next destination.

Recommended Airport – Kraków (KRK)
Kraków offers a broad choice of flights from the UK and elsewhere in Europe. The road transfer to Tatranská Lomnica usually takes around 2–2.5 hours, depending on traffic.
Other Options – Košice (KSC) and Poprad-Tatry (TAT)
Košice is another regional gateway, approximately 1.5 hours away by road; Poprad-Tatry is the closest airport, although flight options may be limited or seasonal.
Arriving by Train
Travel to Poprad-Tatry, the region’s main rail gateway, then continue to Tatranská Lomnica by local transport or pre-arranged transfer.

Private arrival transfers from a selected airport, railway station or previous hotel can be arranged on request, with pricing provided separately.
Your trip ends after breakfast at your hotel in the High Tatras. We can arrange your onward transfer to Poprad, Košice, Kraków, Vienna, Bratislava or another destination to suit your travel plans.

Stay in Tatranská Lomnica at Hotel Lujza Major, a comfortable three-star base for all five nights of your cycling holiday, with no change of rooms between riding days. Each morning begins with a hotel buffet breakfast, while your evenings are free to spend in the village after the planned activities.
Five hotel buffet breakfasts, a group welcome dinner on Day 2 and a farewell dinner on Day 5 are included. Lunches and other dinners are at your own expense unless specified otherwise.
Make the journey work around your travel plans with optional arrangements, subject to availability.

Full-suspension electric mountain bikes (E-MTBs) are provided for the four guided cycling days.
The tour is rated Moderate (3/5). Daily rides range from 25 to 40 km, with climbs of approximately 502–885 m. Electric assistance helps with climbing, but you still need to be confident controlling a bike.
You should be comfortable riding on mixed surfaces, including forest paths, gravel, dirt and occasional narrow trails. An E-MTB makes the climbs more manageable but does not remove the need for sound bike-handling skills.
There are four guided cycling days, on Days 2–5. Day 4 is shorter and includes time at the thermal pools.
Yes. All five nights are based in Tatranská Lomnica, without changing hotels.
Yes. A support vehicle is arranged for each cycling day, and the planned programme transfers are included.
Five buffet breakfasts and two group dinners are included: the welcome dinner on Day 2 and the farewell dinner on Day 5. Lunches and other dinners are not included.
Yes. Entry to Vrbov’s thermal pools is included as part of Day 4.
