Introduction

Our multi-activity tours ensure you enjoy a new experience every day. Whether it’s rafting, trekking, cycling, treetop walkways, thermal pools or cable cars. The Tatra Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for cycling through flower-filled meadows, rafting beneath towering gorges or trekking in the shadow of lofty mountain peaks to traditional mountain huts. What’s more, you’ll get a real flavour of traditional Slovakian hospitality with meals at local restaurants and village visits. Get active, the Slovakian way!

Activity Levels

Each tour has a grade. The grade determines how easy or difficult the tour is in terms of activity level. The grading system goes from number one to five, with number one being the easiest, and number five the hardest. This helps you to decide if the tour is suitable for you in terms of fitness, and if you think you’ll enjoy it. Below is a description for each of the numbered activity level grades.

Level One
These trips are suitable for almost anyone to join. The focus is on cultural activities, and we’ve built in a little more time to relax along the way.

Level Two
Gentle activities, such as walking and cycling, form a key part of these trips. The activities are usually planned so people of varying abilities can take part. No real physical fitness is required, just a spirit of adventure.

Level Three
More active trips, which people with an average level of fitness should be able to fully participate in. These trips will feature walking, cycling or winter activities such as skiing and snowshoeing. Activities will usually last a half or full day. If you have a general level of physical fitness - get out walking, do some jogging or run around chasing your tail 24/7 - we think you’ll be fine.

Level Four
These trips involve some longer treks, cycle rides etc. Each activity will be a half or full day, and over more difficult terrain, such as at altitude or with ascent/descent. Put in some training before you come, and you’ll enjoy the trip.

Level Five
Strenuous trips which demand a higher level of physical fitness. There will be ascent/descent on most days, and full days out on a trek, cycle ride etc. There may also be early starts and more basic accommodation. We think these trips are thoroughly rewarding if you’ve put in the physical and mental preparation.

Summer

Enter the heart of nature and discover its hidden beauties as you travel on horseback, by bike or on foot through the different landscapes. The scenic meadows and forests, along the many hiking and cycling trails, through remarkable mountain scenery of the Carpathians, beside castles and manor houses and experience the culture and cuisine of the small towns through which you pass.

Winter

With the arrival of winter, Slovakia is transformed into a fantastic environment for all types of winter sports. With so many different activities to choose from, why not let us plan your week for you. Enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, winter walking on snowshoes, dog-sledding, cross country skiing or even wolf and lynx tracking in the Slovak Carpathian mountains. A splendid array of activities await.
