After breakfast, transfer (20 min.) to Štrbské Pleso, Slovakia’s highest village, and admire its picturesque lake. Walk to Popradské Pleso hut at 1,494m, featuring another stunning lake. Return to Štrbské Pleso and then transfer to Krakow airport for your flight home.

Nicky Webber (United Kingdom) July 2024

We really enjoyed our walking weekend break. Airport was really convenient and pick ups were all on time. The Hotel was great location and lovely and clean. We found the breakfast was adequate for a days walking but it would of been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. I would recommend this trip to walkers but make sure they are fit because its not that easy. We really enjoyed the huts and great value. The amazing scenery was out best highlight.Thank you Petr for organising the trip and we would recommend people to use your company if travelling to Slovakia.

Many of our travellers go solo, making it a fantastic opportunity to connect with others who share your interests.

The tap water in the Tatras is safe to drink. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottles (at least 1.5L) for refilling, helping to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles.

From June to October, the most popular months for walking, the weather in the High Tatras is typically variable. Temperatures can vary greatly, according to whether you are located on the sunny side of the slopes or in deep valleys, or canyons.

In the early summer even the higher parts of the mountains are green, with the slopes providing plenty of food for the grazing chamois, bears and other wildlife that the Slovakian mountains are well known for.

July and August are the warmest months, with temperatures at times reaching 30 °C, but with more frequent storms.

September is the driest months with the most stable weather of the year. The temperature falls but it is still possible to experience some hotter daytime temperatures, similar to those in August.

In October, the High Tatras are cool, with daytime temperatures from 5°C to 15°C. Expect a mix of sunny days, occasional rain, and possible early snow at higher elevations. The autumn colours are beautiful, so it's a great time for a walking holiday, but be prepared for variable weather.

On this adventure, you'll be joined by people who share a love for hiking, nature, and the great outdoors.

Like you, they seek to explore breathtaking landscapes, enjoy the fresh air, and embrace the beauty of Slovakia's wilderness.

Whether you're traveling solo or with friends, you'll meet like-minded individuals who value adventure, discovery, and connecting with nature.

Together, you'll create unforgettable memories while sharing experiences and building lasting friendships.
