About UNESCO
Slovakia is blessed with such a vast array of natural and cultural sites, a wealth of history, folklore and tradition. Before its independence in 1993, Slovakia already had three sites inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Since then numerous others have been added, and the list continues to grow.
