On this tour, you´ll have the opportunity to “taste” the best of Slovakia in just four days. This short but treasure-packed discovery tour starts in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, where you´ll explore the top highlights of this charming city, beautifully nestled by the Danube river between Budapest and Vienna.
Then enjoy a scenic train journey across Slovakia to the stunning High Tatras, Slovakia´s oldest National Park with the biggest mountains in Central-Eastern Europe.
In just four days, you´ll experience:
Bratislava, Slovakia’s capital, is a charming city with an intriguing history, and the perfect place to start your Slovakian journey.
When you arrive you’ll get familiar with the programme for the next four days. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is to explore the Bratislava´s old town including the Bratislava´s castle, Michal´s gate and the president palace (entrance fees for your own account).
We’ll provide you with a recommended walking route to follow so you can take-in all of Bratislava’s main sights – we wouldn’t want you to miss anything!

Today you head out of the city and into the heart of the Tatra Mountains. Travelling by train in Slovakia is a comfortable experience and, in a little over three and a half hours, you will arrive at Poprad Tatry, the gateway to the mountains. Followed by a transfer, you´ll head to Strbske Pleso, Slovakia´s highest village, your home for the next two nights.
In the afternoon you can relax by the beautiful lake of Strbske Pleso, or if you want something more active, the area offers several lovely walks to mountain huts and waterfalls.

The High Tatras are an area of outstanding natural beauty. The mountains are home to lakes, waterfalls, flowers, valleys, craggy peaks, ridges, and much more.
Today we´ll explore two of the most popular areas of the High Tatras. This morning we take a mountain tram to Stary (Old) Smokovec. This oldest village of the High Tatras will be our starting point for an easy walk to Rainerova hut, the oldest in the Tatras and an impressive waterfall of Studeny Potok.
After lunch in this beautiful area, we´ll continue to Tatranska Lomnica, the biggest mountain village in the Tatras. Here we´ll take a cable car to Skalnate Pleso (1751m), home to a mountain lake of the same name and a Meteorological Station. The views are spectacular and a must-do when visiting the High Tatras.
In the later afternoon, we take a mountain tram back to Strbske Pleso for our last night in the most prominent mountains of Central-Eastern Europe.

This morning you take the train from Poprad back to Bratislava, where your tour ends.
