About
Located in the little known region of the Zamagurie where the traditional culture and habits of the Goral people have been preserved, an area of outstanding natural beauty lies in wait.
Although the smallest of the Slovak national parks, it is an area of unrivalled beauty through which the wide Dunajec River meanders between steep forested hills, the wilderness of mountain valleys and meadows gives way to neatly tended terraced fields and remarkable rock formations rise out of the trees to cast their shadow over the meadows below.
Considered one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Slovakia, the chance to explore its inimitable collection of steep forested hills and peaks on which bear, wolf, lynx and chamois have made their home, or to raft along the gentle currents of the Dunajec, absorbing the breathtaking tranquility and scenery, is an opportunity not to be missed.
